The government is offering Upazila-based scholarship based on the Ebtedayee exam result to prevent drop-offs, increase attendance, recognition of talent and develop balanced talent. Scholarships are awarded to students who pass the primary education.
Earlier, the students of class five were given scholarships on separate exams, but after starting the primary exam in 2010, the scholarship is being given from those who passed the primary examination.
Beginning in 2009, the PSC examinations have begun. The following year the examinations for the Ebtedayee students began to take place. After running both exams, instead of separate scholarship exams, a number of little students taking part in the Ebtedayee exam are selected for the scholarship.
Previously, some of the brilliant students had taken merit scholarship exams. The rest were deprived of not having the opportunity to take part in the test. Considering these factors, the merit and quota system has been abolished by canceling the scholarship exam.
Categories of Ebtedayee Scholarship
- Talentpool Scholarship and
- General scholarship.
Who Get Scholarships
It is assumed that Ebtedayee examination candidates who took part in 2019 and GPA-5 students who will get 90 to 95 percent of the number will get Talentpool scholarship and who will get 85 to 90 percent of the number will get the general scholarship. The result of the Ebtedayee scholarship 2020 will be published on the website of the directorate of primary education (DPE).

Amount of Scholarship Money
The Ebtedayee scholarship is divided into Telenpool and general scholarship. Generally, students with Telenpool scholarships and general scholarships will get the opportunity to study free of tuition fees. The Telenpool scholar will get 3600 Tk (Three thousand six hundred Taka) yearly which is 300 TK (Three hundred Taka) per month. And, the general scholar will get a total of 2700 TK (Two thousand seven hundred Taka) yearly which is 225 Taka per month.
Duration of Scholarship
In both Talentpool and general scholarship, the duration is 3 years (from class sixth to class eighth). The results can be seen on the website of the Madrasah Board as well as from this post for your convenience.
